Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine Laura Sullivan was born in and lived within Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam was Jazmine's mother. She is an ex-backing singer for Philadelphia International Records. At the age of five, young, her father got a position as a curator of The city's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family moved into the landmark historical building. As a 2005 Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts graduates She is an instructor in vocal performance. Sullivan began singing as a contralto children's choir, then a few years later in the adult choir. Sullivan wasn't exposed to the world of secular music for the first time. "I began singing in solos in the church, and someone wanted me to sign up to gospel records when I was eleven. but I wasn't prepared for that," she says. In the following year, McDonald's held a contest that was open to children living in cities. I was allowed to perform "Accept What God Allows" on The show Showtime at the Apollo. And the audience was very supportive. In the year 13 she sang along with Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday. Sullivan was signed initially to Jive Records at the age fifteen. At the age of 15 She was signed by Jive Records. She made an entire album in Jive Records, but it wasn't made available for release. Sullivan was later dropped from the label. There was a close relationship with Missy Elliott who wrote and recorded several tracks on her debut album, like the buzz track "Backstabbers" composed by Timbaland and written by Elliott.
